2x German Champion during the Hanse Sail Rostock

Crowning my race season by winning both (sprint and long distance) titles at the very nice event during the Hanse Sail Rostock in front of a big crowd! Both time winning with a big margin ahead of the other girls.

Won a Jucker Hawaii skateboard in the tombola… This was for sure an amazing event…!

Defended my titles

Pretty stoked I defended my Technical Beach Race Champion title of the Canoe Association as well as my overall title for the German SUP Challenge 2016 with my win in the wavy conditions on Sylt/North Sea.

Also totally excited about my little bro Maui Sach finishing 5th in the mens championship final!

German Champion and Vice Champion

Beautiful first day of competition @ the German SUP Championships with the sprints taking place. Finished 2nd in a very hard battle all the way to the finish line with the strong Susanne Lier…

I´m still so amazed about my victory at the German SUP Championship by the Surfing Association on Fehmarn yesterday. We did a lovely downwind race and after I was battling on the first two kilometer up- and sidewind I could break away on the long downwinder… As we started ahead of the guys and no one caught me I felt cool to reach the event site first overall!

Victory in choppy open ocean conditions

Success in perfect beach race conditions - this was stop nr. 3 of the German SUP Challenge. With the combined results of three heats (I won every single one) I could take the event victory.

SUP World Cup Scharbeutz

World Cup in Germany

This event which took place in Northern Germany on the Baltic Sea in Scharbeutz meant a lot of media attention for myself. Different TV reportages, radio, etc.

On the first day of competition it was the VIP relay race taking place where I finished 1st together with my team Matthias Neumann and Christian Hahn.

Unfortunately the pro races turned out to be very frustrating for me as I was attacted a lot of times by other girls competing with me including some board damage… After Saturdays sprint racing attacks I couldn´t enable my full power and therefore finished with a solid 5th place in the seven lap womens elite long distance race as well as overall. My conclusion of the weekend: an amazing event, beautiful location, great media attention, a lot of training ahead and two boards to repair…

6th place at the international race

Stoked to secure 6th place at "Fastest Paddler on Earth"!

This was a full power 200m sprinting against the stop watch on Lake Brombach in Bavaria/Germany where I finished 6th and on the same time best German!

It was an amazing strong female fleet and super tough competition!

Starting the season with a dominant 1st place

Last weekend I had my first SUP race competition of the season on Fehmarn/Baltic Sea. It was a dominant start-to-finish victory and I enjoyed the great course and nice conditions: Fortunately we had some wind and small chops which made the race more fun… This 1,5k "Ultimate Beachrace" course format was very interesting with 2-laps of an "zick-zack" sidewind, upwind and downwind course and start and finish on the beach plus a beach run in between.

I´m also super proud of my brother Maui who made it into the men´s 10men-final and finished on a strong 6th place!

Stoked to be crowned Champion of the GSUPA Overall Ranking combining all different disciplines of SUP! Also finished 1st in Wave and Technical Beach Race! Reminding me of my last season´s competition highlights!

Wintertraining-Update Part 2

Windsurfing

Finally the trade winds came back on Gran Canaria and I had amazing windsurfing sessions at home and in Pozo Izquierdo (home of the PWA World Cup) on my Naish windsurfing quiver: Board: Wave 72L Sails: Force Four 4.5, 4.1, 3.7, 3.4 and my Junior Pro 2.8!

Windsurfing in these conditions gives me so much confidence for everything I do - especially for Stand Up Paddling!
